Mango Jack’s fate still up in the air

The fate of Mango Jack’s, a restaurant and bar on the Missouri State Fairgrounds, may be decided at next week’s Missouri State Fair Commission meeting.

Despite rumors on Facebook that spread this week that the decades-old building will be torn down, Fair Director Mark Wolfe said the demolition hasn’t been approved yet.

What people are saying in response to the Fairgrounds decision to tear down Mango Jack's

-- That's probably the problem...people are having too much fun. You know that is not allowed anymore.

-- What an injustice! Every year since 1984, my family and friends have gathered at Mango Jack's, formerly The Riverboat & All American Beer Garden. We would seek shelter from the sun and enjoy the entertainment. Gary Evert has always provided fair goers a place to gather even if they were not spending money in his establishment. You can't say that about very many proprietors. This action must be stopped.

-- They can't tear it down

-- Why would they be closed? More people there this year than anywhere else.

-- We don't want to lose Mango Jack's...tell Mo State Fair how we love it....

-- This place is one of the number one locations and like every other establishment at the fair it is unique to its crowd. It offers so much more than a beer...music and dancing like no other, atmosphere of fun and excitement, world famous nachos, family trivia and entertainment in day time for everyone and a dance floor that floods out into the street during the night life...not to mention a history that goes back over 30 years!

tear down mango jack's for a RESTROOM??? really???? I say P**P on that! we already have a lack of grand stand entertainment now lets take away the night life at the fair, History, and good family fun in the day time and on prime real estate put a rest room???? NO this isn't okay!

MANGO JACK'S IS SCHEDULED TO BE TORN DOWN! In September the Missouri State Fair Commission voted to tear down Mango Jack's. Mango Jack's is the hot spot on the fairgrounds. What's your take on this?
