Have you ever wondered about the smiling folks hanging out in the Emerald Ballroom while your Salsa class is happening? That's our AcroYoga community, and we'd love for you to stick your head in and say hello!

Our staff spotlight this week shines on Loc Le, Reverie's AcroYoga instructor, movement teacher, and community builder. With over 15 years of experience in yoga, martial arts, and partner acrobatics, Loc is a licensed AcroYoga instructor who brings strength, play, and mindfulness to every class. Drawing from the Awakening Yoga system and Thai Yoga Bodywork, his teaching emphasizes trust, communication, and connection, creating a space where students feel both challenged and supported.

Since Reverie opened, Loc has built an enthusiastic following in Seattle's only regular AcroYoga practice space. As we continue to grow our connections with Seattle's circus arts community, we're proud to offer a home for this wonderful group of movers, acrobats, and curious beginners.

Come see what all the fun is about! You don't need a partner to get started, just a willingness to try something new, falling is part of the learning process.

We are delighted to feature Imperia Lake Union as one of Reverie Ballroom’s preferred wedding vendors — and these gorgeous blossoms feel perfectly at home in both our Grand and Emerald Ballrooms.

Led by Resident Florist JJ, Imperia’s floral department creates bespoke floral arrangements, custom candlescapes, and complete theme designs. Their team brings an eye for scale, lighting, architecture, and all those little details that allow florals to feel like they belong in the room — rather than simply being placed there.

STAFF SPOTLIGHT: Meet August! (they/them)
August is one of the newest members of the Reverie Ballroom Door Team, learning the ways of the Ballroom, and where to look for the Lost and Found and the all-important restroom code!

A dancer and musician originally from California, August recently made the move to Seattle to begin an exciting new chapter centered on joy, connection, and community. We think they came to the perfect place.

You can find August welcoming dancers at Swing, Bachata, and Out Country in the coming weeks. They’re always happy to greet guests with a smile—and if things are quiet at the door, don’t hesitate to stop by and say hello or ask for a dance.

What changes are in the pipeline…

A message from Hallie Kuperman, our Interim CEO:

"If you can make it to Reverie on Saturday, Oct. 3rd from 12 pm -1:30 pm, I will be leading a “State of Reverie” conversation about what the 1st year looked like and what’s ahead. But before then, I want to explain one change that will take place in mid-October, and why…

As of October 17th, we will no longer have the Bachata room open in the Emerald EXCEPT for the 2nd Saturdays, when we have live Salsa music in the Grand.
What this means is that on all other nights in the Grand (including AVS), there will be a mix of Bachata and Salsa.

Why did we choose this?
1. It is obvious from the number of people who paid for only the Bachata dance that there are not many attendees who come solely for that style.
2. This means people want both styles of music, so why not play both in the Grand and have that room FULL rather than have two large ballrooms be half full?
3. We already offer an exclusive Bachata night on Thursdays, so for the diehards, that’s the time to show up.

Having energy that comes from people filling a room can be as important to growing an event as splitting the dancers and offering two separate events.
If we’re wrong about this, I’m sure you’ll let us know, and you should! But let’s give this a try and see if we can get the floor full every Saturday night!
