Greetings, Egan's family! We hope you'll tune in to the Phil Ochs Tribute concert today at 3pm PDT. This event will kick off a new gofundme campaign to help Egan's get through the next little while and to help out the local musician community during these difficult times.

To the many wonderful people who have contributed to the gofundme campaign for Egan’s we want extend our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation. You’re the best! With your help and the support of the building owner we feel confident that we’ll be able to pay the bills and keep Heather on the payroll for the next couple of months, while we ride this out.

With so many people hurting right now we feel that it’s time to end the campaign and focus on spreading the love around to the other music venues and to the many musicians who are being impacted by this crisis. PLEASE contribute what you can to the musician community...tune in to their live-streaming shows, express your appreciation, and donate whatever you can. We’ve been preoccupied with some urgent family matters, but hope to make the Egan’s stage available for streaming shows soon. People have been asking about our plans to sell Egan's, so an update is probably in order. The long story has to do with probate after dear John, the building owner, passed away (which was resolved favorably a few weeks ago), as well as some insights gleaned from the valuation process (which made us rethink the transition plan). The SHORT story is that we'll still be plugging away for a while (while making some changes that will be more-or-less transparent to the performers and customers). We'll give you a heads up when we get closer to turning the reins over to someone else.

In the meantime, come on down and help us celebrate our 10-year anniversary this month. We'll be kicking it off with some great young jazz players this Wed and Thurs...It's been great fun watching some of these kids transition all the way through high school and college and now including us in their tour schedules! :)

Hey there, Seattle jazz vocalists! Did you know we have an open vocal jam session every 2nd and 4th Wed of the month, hosted by Dan Czaran? That's tonight! Our vocal showcase starts at 7pm, featuring Mishel Sawyer, Matthew Raymond and Candace McCutcheon, with the jam session following at 9pm. $10 cover gets you into both shows and pays the brilliant combo of Hans Brehmer (piano), Kevin McCarthy (bass) and Beri Puhlovski (drums)!
