Maxim's We offer live bands, open mic, comedy, karaoke, spoken word and showcase new authors, good food and great drinks. Maxim's is located at 5608 Rainier Ave S.

Seattle, Washington 98118. We are committed to creating a space for all. We are very LGBTQ friendly and often host events to support the LGBTQ community. No one is excluded; we ask only that you keep the judgments to yourself. We believe Maxim's belong to the community, and we cater to the needs of the community, because we understand that there is no unity without a community. Maxim's is a safe,

loving space to socialize, while feeling the positive vibe and healing powers from music and laughter. We offer great food to fit your dietary needs, live entertainment, great drinks... Did I mention we have the best Open Mic show in the surrounding area? Happy hour is Monday - Friday from 3 pm - 6 pm. Our dinner menu is available daily from 5:00 pm until closing

Ask about our drink and food specials. Join us every Monday from 9:00 pm - 12:00 am for an evening of laughter from some of the best comedians around. Test your comedy skills from 9:00 - 11:00 pm. Arrive at 11:00 pm if you would prefer to skip the amateur session. Sit down and let the professionals show you how to do it from 11:00 pm to 12:00 pm, when our headliner takes the stage.

Do you simply want to get on stage and sing? Would you like to sing and watch other singers, but would like to skip the extras offered on Thursday nights? Then Karaoke is for you. coming your way soon. Join us every Thursday for our Open Mic from 9 pm until 12 am. Bring your songs, poetry, performances, etc... Nothing is off limits on Maxim's stage. Join us for "Feel Good Friday". We open the doors at 9 pm for dancing with every genre imaginable. We reserve the 4th Friday of the month for the 16-20 (ONLY) population, except for June (which highlights Pride). "Musician's Mash up" every Saturday. We feature some of the finest musicians in Washington state. Sunday is for the soul. Join us for "Soul food Sunday", live jazz all evening. Starting April 27th, we're offering "Sunday Sinema with Street", Come early for brunch from 11:00 am to 3:30 pm. If you come for brunch, your cinema viewing is free. Check our events for details. Bring your friends, bring your family; don't forget to bring your id. Must be at least 21 to enter, except for 16 - 20 events. This is it! We have these final events plus one BIG BANG! The doors are closing again at Maxim's.

And so it is written. I lost my long legal battle over Maxim's. My previous "business partner" testified against me.... LMAO. I suppose one could say that's Karma, but Karma goes to all, and had said partner held up her end of the bargain, the club would have flourished. She/they made a deal with the now, returning owner and they will most likely be "leasing agents" or perhaps new owners. Either way, I will still frequent Maxim's if it remains a club. I fought hard to keep it because "gentrifiers" did everything within their power to get that space. It is prime real estate. One business wanted to turn it into a fitness center... OKAY. I wanted to keep Maxim's within the community, so that those who belong in the community could benefit, but one thing I learned more than anything else, "You can't want it more than the community." That said, I will most likely vacate the premises by 10 September, which means I'm selling s**t! LOL Yes, the comedy show and the hip hop show on 28/29 August are STILL HAPPENING. Come out and party with us before we close the doors. It's just the closing of another chapter and the beginning of a much better one. Thank you everyone for the love and support, even to those who worked at trying to tear down what i put so much into.
It was not your lack of support that closed the doors; it was your ignorance.... :)
