The name Brimmer & Heeltap commemorates the proper pour, one that teases the top of the glass and culminates in a satisfying glimpse of the bottom. Like a good toast, Brimmer & Heeltap is a place that evokes camaraderie – a sense of where we've been and where we want to arrive. In early 2012 we endeavored to set our own table. The idea was to fashion a destination just on the other side of your do

orstep: a gathering space for friends, with all the comforts of home and a uniquely crafted menu of small bites, family style plates and thoughtful libations. We opted for a quarter of the city where we feel intrinsically connected. Ballard is a lauded destination for its entrepreneurial temperament and flourishing establishments – the proximity to other dynamic Seattle neighborhoods being the proverbial icing on the cake. Thanks to the dedication (and appetites!) of friends and family we are looking forward to cultivating an eatery that we’re proud to hang our hat in. Meet our new spring cocktails, perfect for lazy afternoons on the patio or dreamy evenings in the garden.🍹

🍒 Six Toed Cat — white rum, muddled tarragon, grapefruit, lime, falernum, cherry bitters, absinthe mist; a bracing, Hemingway‑inspired daiquiri with herbal lift.

🦩 Pink Flamingos — tequila, Punt e mes, Combier Fraise, pink guava, lime; easy‑drinking, fruity, and refreshingly light.

🌿 Jin Dynasty — basil‑infused gin, Salers aperitif, ancho verde, lime, Chinese five spice, MSG mist; back by popular demand with savory, aromatic heat.

🍷Rotating glass pours of red, white, rosé, and sparkling are 1/2 price during Happy Hour (4–5 PM Wed–Sun) alongside $3 oysters. 🦪

We’re excited to welcome our new Head Chef, Chris Sasan, whose cooking is shaped by a childhood in Hawai‘i — a true melting pot of cultures and flavors. Drawing inspiration from Hawaiian, Chinese, Filipino, Portuguese, Japanese, and Puerto Rican traditions, he brings a vibrant, personal point-of-view to the kitchen, reimagined through a Pacific Northwest lens.

Expect seasonal, local ingredients, dishes that feel approachable but thoughtfully polished, and a few new menu ideas we can’t wait to share — from chicory salad to steak tartare to Filipino-inspired pork and beans.

"I have spent many a Sunday simmering tomato sauce all day for a spaghetti and meatball feast. If you don’t have the time, Ballard’s Brimmer & Heeltap has you covered.

Sundays at the restaurant have been rebranded as Spaghetti Sunday, with two bowls of housemade spaghetti and meatballs plus a bottle of red or white wine for $50.

A friend and I added on a bibb salad ($18), studded with marcona almonds, fennel and tarragon, and left sated and giggly after a few hours basking in the warmth of one of Seattle’s snuggest dining rooms."
