Starting this Sunday and Monday, we’re excited to welcome Ox Burger to the taproom for an ongoing residency at Fair Isle Brewing.

Known for their thoughtful approach and deeply flavorful Lao Burger alongside classic smash burgers, Ox brings the kind of care and hospitality we’re always excited to share with our community. Burgers and farmhouse beer feel like a pretty perfect pairing to us.

Ox Burger will be serving Sundays + Mondays, alongside our friends at La Marea, who continue to serve Tuesday–Saturday in the taproom.

Join us in Ballard for good food, fresh beer, and an easy excuse to gather with friends.

See you for burgers at the brewery.

We’re excited to release a new vintage of Tove and Val, two cornerstone beers in our oak-aged farmhouse series—each shaped by time in oak, our house culture, and Washington-grown fruit at peak expression.

Tove

Tove is our oak-aged farmhouse ale with blackberries and a bronze medal winner at the 2023 World Beer Cup.

A mainstay in our fruited oak-aged series—and the very first we ever released—Tove has become one of the defining beers in our program. In 2023, it was awarded a Bronze Medal at the World Beer Cup, recognition that speaks both to the quality of the fruit and the care taken through blending and aging.

Brewed with exceptional Triple Crown blackberries grown by , the fruit leads the way with deep, juicy berry character layered over a blend of oak-aged ales.

This year’s batch shows bright notes of ripe blackberry and subtle tartness, rounded by hints of toasted pie crust, vanilla, and soft oak. A restrained acidity carries through the palate, letting the fruit remain the focal point from start to finish.

Val

Val is our oak-aged farmhouse ale refermented on Washington-grown Montmorency cherries from Rowley & Hawkins.

Cherries have a long and storied history in beer, and Val is our interpretation rooted in that tradition—built with patience and a focus on ingredient integrity. We chose Montmorency cherries for their natural tartness and complexity, avoiding the more common sweet varieties in favor of something more structured and expressive.

The result is a beer that bridges old-world inspiration and local agriculture: bright cherry candy aromatics layered with a lively, expressive yeast character. Underneath, subtle baking spice, almond skin, and oak vanillin round out a dry, structured finish.

We are super excited to host Dave from for Ferry & Friends. Inviting Fox Farm Brewery was a no-brainer when we started curating the lineup for our lager and saison fest.  They share our passion for these classic styles, brewing beers that prioritize nuance and balance while focusing on using the best of their local agriculture.  This philosophy that perfectly mirrors what we try to do at Fair Isle.

Fox Farm’s beer rarely (if ever) makes it out to the West Coast, so getting Dave and the crew out to Seattle is a real treat for us.  Besides being great people, their dedication to traditional techniques, high quality ingredients, and patient conditioning show exactly why these beer styles deserve to be celebrated.  We couldn’t be more honored to have them pour alongside us.

Under 35 tickets left for the festival. Grab one today to enjoy these gems!
