Way to Go Seattle City Council! Another step toward cleansing Seattle of its quirky persona....Wow...so glad folk like you were not successful in tearing down the Pike Place Markets. What a lack of vision! Seriously, who made this call? Anyone know? Shall we rename the city, Amazonia?

So in Dead Seattle Brillance, I heard the plan was to demolish the Elephant Car Wash and move it's iconic Sign to a resting place at Mohi...where it would be, what?...seen as a dinosaur of a beloved past...dead, gone, enshrined...Developers get so many tax credits, what about a tax credit that would have allowed this iconic business to survive? A-O...way to go Seattle!

The Landmark Theater chain has closed Seattle’s Seven Gables Theater and the Guild 45th Theaters, effective immediately....

The Landmark Theater chain has closed Seattle’s Seven Gables Theater and the Guild 45th Theaters, effective immediately. In a Tweet, Landmark announced that the theaters would undergo renovation, with no details about timelines or even if the venerable art houses would reopen. The Tweet directed local cinephiles to the Crest Cinemas, in Shoreline.
Calls to Landmark offices in LA were referred to a NYC publicist who could provide no further details.
