Anyone who’s been in (like, ever) knows Pete. He’s been slinging pints (and lately, vegetables from his farm!) across our bar since July 20th, 2018, his first shift and the day we opened.

But all good things transition into other good things, and Pete’s found a role much closer to home, letting him spend more time with his family and at ToniYa and Pete Huapaheros.

His last Trivia night is this coming Tuesday (better get in early to get a table!) and his last regular shift is Wednesday. He wants to see *all* of you, so we’re doing a buck off all pints on Wednesday to celebrate him.

We know that drinking bad water can make people sick. But can improving water systems in low income countries reduce the burden of waterborne disease? This question is surprisingly difficult to answer. UW Professor Karen Levy will tell the story of how her team set out to answer this question through their work on the PAASIM research study in Mozambique, which examined the impact of city-wide water system improvements on child health.
