Omens…
SO EERIE that last night during our closing procedures our Spotify played the song, “9 to 5.” We never play that song at the bar. We don’t play much country music, and almost never a title track from a movie soundtrack. There was no reason for Spotify to play that song based on any algorithm we would tap into. Yet, close to 3 am, as several were there to witness, - it did indeed play. Out of nowhere. A first.
We sang along and didn’t think much of it as we finished up our duties. Then to wake up to the news that Dolly Parton is gone. I am sad but also genuinely spooked. Folklore has it that Diesel has a ghost from Decades ago when the building was known as, “Hombres.” I don’t believe in ghosts but it’s times like this where I question what I believe, - because you literally can’t make this s**t up!
Thank you for your continued support. Our hearts go out to everyone who is having a hard time with this huge loss of such a radiant bright light during these ongoing dark times. ❤️
