We will be open until October 1st and will maintain our current hours. Thank you to everyone who has dined with us and been a part of this journey. We hope to see you all in the coming weeks.

The slides read as follows:

“Thank you to our loyal customers and Capitol Hill neighbors, we will be closing our doors on October 1st. Over the last two decades we have had the honor of serving you in Ballard, Queen Anne and Capitol Hill.

We were the first Mezcaleria in the United States of America, ultimately becoming a favorite of Anthony Bourdain. He was known to regularly recite our 2003 opening postcard “no reservations”.

Our kitchen has worked with and hosted numerous celebrated James Beard and Michelin starred chefs.

We have collaborated with the Mexican government and consulate to organize exclusive dinners with many of Mexico’s greatest chefs, wine makers and agave distillers.

All of these experiences and influences have been a part of the creation of our authentic, chef driven menus.

Over the years we have evolved through multiple reinventions of identity and interior - responding to a changing city and neighborhood.

The collision of the changing nature of Seattle and changing State, County and City regulations has made it untenable to continue to operate our effort.

We look forward to serving you all in the short few weeks ahead. Now is the time to experience our celebrated comida corrida as this journey comes to a close.

Chef’s Steak Alambre is made from sliced skirt steak marinated in a homemade secret alambre sauce.

It’s sauted with red bell peppers, poblano peppers, red onions and finished with melted Monterrey cheese 🧀.

Served on a sizzling cast iron skillet 🍳 garnished with pickled red onions and cilantro. The dish comes with a side of rice, beans and tortillas.
