State Flowers

The U.S. Botanic Garden in D.C. has an exhibit thru October 16th featuring State and Territories' Flowers. For a good article discussing the exhibit and a list of official State/Territories' flowers (click here.) Couple observations: Maryland's State flower is the Black Eyed Susan and I'm good with that. However, I am also a little partial to all those nice sunflowers that we have growing around us....

Photo Start (Not Finish)

Some photographic history came to me when walking the streets of Philadelphia last Friday afternoon. This street marker caught my eye: Screenshot Here is that photo that Saxton took. Philly Follow-up

Although we only spent a total of 17 hours in Philly, Brady and I did manage to do a little sightseeing before heading out to the Friday night ball game between the Eagles and Bengals. The one touristy thing that we did was to check out Philly's downtown Reading Terminal Market. We were on a mission to find a cheese steak and figured that the marketplace was a good place to find one....

The Linc

For our annual stadium trip, Brady and I headed to Philadelphia last Friday to check out the Eagles hosting the Bengals at Lincoln Financial Field aka The Linc. This was our first visit to The Linc, but we had visited The Linc's predecessor Veterans Stadium on two occasions many years ago. We caught an Army Navy game there and then later a Phillies baseball game....
