The Ponds of Palazini

The Ponds of Palazini Our Oasis. This is our back yard where we spend alot of our time! Started out as ponds that my brother built, he lived here before me. Very sad.

However his pond was in another location and not deep enough for the fish to remain all year round! The first winter the fish my brother had froze to death as the pond froze solid. I rebuilt what was there and tried having two ponds connected by a channel. That did not work out so well, kept loosing water. I then made a smaller version of the pond we have today and filled in the other side, which was the original pond. When we had the ice storm that we lost power for a few days a branch also came down and punctured the lining. I had to rebuild so i made it bigger, better and deeper than it was. We have had a couple winters where we have lost all the fish and thanks to friends were able to restock! The Ponds are forever evolving and we really enjoy it!
