Friends it is with a heavy heart, that I have to announce that we will no longer be seeking to reopen in another location.
It’s taken me a couple of days to write this post mostly because I thought it was going to be too damn difficult. The more I thought on it the more I realized that the post wouldn’t be about me at all but about all of you. The Amazing people who’ve supported the Tailgate all these years. Thank you so much for being there for us. Thank you opening your hearts to us. Thank you for sharing all of the important moments of your lives. Thank you for allowing us to celebrate alongside you, your triumphs, your birthdays, your weddings, your anniversaries, your date nights, your championships, and your friendships. They have all been part of what has made the Tailgate family so special. We will always cherish those memories. Those memories are what makes this post so difficult to make. Thanks again.

Hello Tailgate Folk.

I know it’s been a while since our last update. When we started this project of relocating to another building with a better parking area, we thought the things we’d have to do were mostly cosmetic. However, the building at our new location had a long list of numerous structural challenges that we’ve had to address and try to overcome. This has caused us numerous challenges and delays. One of those delays that we’re currently waiting on is a SBA loan to cover the remainder of the work to get the project completed.

Those challenges and delays have caused us to stay at our current location far longer than we had hoped. So much longer that we have reached the end of our ability to continue to stay at what has been our home of the last 20 years. Sadly, we are announcing that February 28th will be our last day here. We want to thank the amazing customers that have supported and partnered with us over the last 20 years. Most importantly I want to thank the incredible team members, current and former, that I have been extremely blessed to work with for these many years. They are the ones that I am so very grateful for, but also most worried about in the immediate future.

To that end, I will be hosting a fundraiser at the end of February. All donations during this event will go to my bar and kitchen staff to help them get by until we’re in our new home. The fundraiser is still in the planning process, but we will post updates on our page in the next couple of days to set a definite date for our “last bash.”

We want to give everyone the opportunity in the upcoming weeks to support our staff as well as have a chance to get together and celebrate all the memories we’ve made together!

While it’s not completely goodbye we’re not entirely sure when we’ll see y’all again.

We’ll definitely keep everyone posted as things progress.

Good morning Tailgaters. We are now living in the North. I don't think we're going to open today. It won't get much warmer than freezing this afternoon and by the time everything starts to melt it'll be freezing again. So it's looking like it's going to be a snow day for everyone.
