Have you ever wondered how Twin Spades got its name?

The name was inspired by an imagined meeting between General James Edward Oglethorpe and Chief Tomochichi, two individuals whose relationship influenced the early history of Savannah.

Their story is represented through Savannah artist Brian MacGregor’s painting, Oglethorpe and Tomochichi Playing Cards, displayed inside The Bluff Hotel.

Twin Spades brings that spirit of conversation, connection, and history into a modern Savannah setting.
