Lost Yooper Brewing would like to thank of you who have stood by us during our trademark dispute with Larry Bell, we received our final judgement today that we will not be able to trademark our name because Bell's Brewing trademarked the word Yooper. So to all my fellow Yooper brewers out there be careful about naming your beer Yooper or he might come after you too.

Lost Yooper Brewing is pulling off a first! Back to back brews in one day! Why did it take 7+ years to get to this? One, never really had the need and two, need to practice for when we are doing two a days over at Superior Coast Brewing located at Karl's Cuisine!

Lost Yooper Brewing supports the folks at Innovation Brewing, as many of you may or may not know we are currently in a trademark dispute with Bell's as well over the use of the word Yooper. MLive has had a lot of interesting articles on the whole dispute, this is the most recent one.

I hope that they can resolve this issue soon as they are an active brewery, as for Lost Yooper Brewing, well, we are still in the planning stages, but things are looking good for a possible brewing location late this summer or summer of 2016 (keeping my fingers crossed!)

From thousands of comments on Bell's page to tweets and comments on news stories, the dispute has people praising Innovation as the underdog or defending Bell's business decisions.

Totally forgot that there was a Lost Yooper Brewing page! Time to update! Just finished bottling "It's a... Beer!" October style beer, in honor of my sister Breanne's new baby Reed and Assistant Brewmaster Woody's grandbabies.

Lost Yooper has been busy again, just brewed a Orange Blossom Special, and bottled a Belgian IPA. We also have a bottled Kolsch that needs to age out a bit, and a Mia Boch and American IPA sitting in secondary... This should be a tasty spring.
