The Sunflower Maze at Perlick Distillery is in bloom and open to the public! The sunflowers are spectacular this year, so we hope you all enjoy them! The maze is open now until August 26th (or until the bloom ends). Here are some highlights:
- Maze is open August 3 – August 26. 11AM – 7PM daily.
- Entry is $5/person. Kids 5 and under are free.
- Self-serve and cash only when the tasting room is closed (tasting room keeps normal hours Thursday – Sunday during the maze).
- Entrance and pay box are in the red ticket shed by the maze entrance.
- Cards accepted in tasting room when open (Thursday – Sunday)
- You can purchase to-go cocktails, and take them through the maze when the tasting room is open!
- There is a viewing platform in the middle of the field.
- The maze consists of two fields planted a week apart. Once one field starts to lose its bloom, the other field should start blooming.
- We have bee hives here at the distillery. The bees are making the honey for our Honey Flavored Vodka! You may see lots of bees on the sunflowers. Make sure to thank the bees!
- Fun fact: Sunflowers do not turn their blooms towards the sun! Sunflowers are heliotropic; they turn towards the sun as they grow. However, once they bloom, the blooms always face east!
- The Farmers Market at Perlick Distillery is on Thursday’s from 3-7PM!
