So this is probably gonna be really long lol
So today is officially the last day that I own the 8 Ball Lounge. Papers have been signed. Chip White will be taking over as of tomorrow morning.
I just wanna say thank you to everyone that is helped and supported me over the last 8 1/2 years. I made a lot of new friends and I lost some friends. Two that were very special to me and they know who they are and I still love them. It was just business.
But I have to thank two men that changed my life forever. Alik Bastian a.k.a. Papa was an amazing man and I never would’ve had the opportunity to own the 8-Ball Lounge without him. He was a great friend and a mentor and I miss him every day.
The other man, James Fazzone, made it all possible. He was amazing and literally changed my life by helping me buy the 8-Ball and his passing in 2019 was devastating.
A lot of people don’t know the story behind the necklace that I wear. It’s a gold rope with a Ferrari emblem attached. Jim and I met and became friends and he owned a Ferrari. He would go out of town and he would tell me to come get the car and keep it for a week or two and drive it and whatever so when we went to buy the 8-Ball, we had to come up with a parent name, the corporate name. We looked at each other for a couple of minutes and all of a sudden it hit me right between the eyes and I’m like I got it. He said what? I said Our Ferrari. He was what do you mean OUR Ferrari? I said I drive the damn car more than you do! He busted out laughing and said I love it. do it. So the name of our company was Our Ferrari LLC. We bought the bar in March 2018 in August 2018, I went to see him in Minnesota. He had the exact necklace and he gave me one to match his which you’ll be able to see in the picture below. There’s nothing I could ever do to repay him for what he did for me, but out of love and tribute to him it never comes off my neck and as much as I miss Alec, I miss Jim 10 times more and that’s no disrespect to Alec. That’s just how much I loved Jimmy.
