The Adirondacks have always been a place of remarkable diversity.
No two mountains are the same. No two lakes reflect the light quite alike. Every town, every story, every person adds something unique to the landscape that makes this region so special.
That spirit feels especially meaningful during Pride Month.
Since 1933, through the final days of Prohibition and every chapter since, the Belvedere has believed in one simple idea: there should always be a place at the table for everyone.
Over the decades, people from all walks of life have walked through our doors — locals and visitors, old friends and new faces, families, workers, artists, adventurers, and those simply searching for connection and community. Sharing a meal has a way of bridging divides, reminding us that despite our differences, we all hunger for the same things: belonging, understanding, laughter, comfort, and love.
Food has always brought people together. Around a table, conversations happen. Friendships begin. Walls come down. Community grows.
This Pride Month, we celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community and the countless individuals who help make both the Adirondacks and the Belvedere richer, kinder, and more vibrant places to be.
Whoever you are, wherever you come from, and however you identify — you are welcome here.
Happy Pride Month from all of us at The Belvedere Restaurant. 🏳️🌈
