After 35 years of ownership under Mark and Christine Mandoli, Rob and Debbie Bunting, and John Guglielmoni, it is with heavy hearts that we announce that the Wagon Wheel will be closing its doors on Sunday, June 7th.
This place has been built on decades of hard work, dedication, and unforgettable memories none of which will ever be forgotten. Unfortunately, our new landlords have decided not to continue our lease.
The Wagon Wheel has stood through so much. We remember the fire in 2017, when the embers came right to our doorstep and still, we carried on. From its beginnings as a bar in the 1950s to becoming a well-known biker bar in the 1970s (where you could once count on a free drink fresh out of the slammer), this place has always had character. It even made its mark on the screen, appearing in the HBO film Grand Avenue (1996).
Over the years, it’s been home to the best shuffleboard in Sonoma County, and more recently, to a team of experienced, dedicated, and deeply loved staff. What it’s become; a place where craft cocktails meet dive bar soul is something truly special.
The Wagon Wheel hasn’t just been a bar, it’s lived a full life, and then some.
Come celebrate with us during our final months, and join us for one last weekend June 5th through 7th as we raise a glass together.
All good things must come to an end, but the spirit of this place will live on in every story, every friendship, and every memory made within these walls.
Thank you all for being part of it.
Thank you to our staff who have stood by us through it all.
Thank you, Mark and Christine, Rob and Debbie, John, Kat, Brian, Jason, Luke, Justin, Savannah, and Vanessa.
