From an oak tree in Healdsburg to the 32nd floor of a hotel in San Francisco, this is the range we love designing within.

Every property on this list asked for something completely different. A barn and open field at Ru’s Farm. Vineyard rows framing the ceremony at Viansa. Redwoods shading long tables at Dawn Ranch. Skyline views setting the mood downtown. A wisteria-draped ballroom in Napa. Cellar candlelight at Kunde. A lawn dressed in green at Estate Yountville. Ancient oaks stretching over dinner at Oak Grove.

How we designed the space and atmosphere for Baja Brisa Blanca.

Charger to resemble a clam shell/silver and pearl like paired with a satin linen that added texture and movement to complement Baja seaside breeze- it gave the essence of the sea with a modern edge.

Florals to complement the white theme and modern atmosphere, balanced with an organic touch through elements of driftwood and shell, layered textures, and printed menus that further complemented the design- it gave the essence of the seaside with a refined, modern edge.

The stilt walker that welcomed guests as a visual performance and then led guests to dinner in the nest was such an impactful and fun beginning.

Omakase experience at Nido, meaning “nest.” Dining within a nest-inspired setting designed with woven branches and driftwood, surrounded by saltwater pools that create the illusion of dining on water- Japanese cuisine paired with sake in an intimate setting that brings together nature, texture, and the sea.

Sonoma has been home base for us for years, and if there’s one thing this part of Wine Country never runs out of, it’s beautiful places to say “I do.” Redwood groves, century-old barns, rolling vineyard hillsides, every property on this list brings something completely different to the table, and each one has taught us something new about designing for a space instead of against it.

Watch for these as we move through a few of our go-tos: Villa Vanto, Dawn Ranch, Oak Grove Estate, Beltane Ranch, Double R Ranch, Viansa, Kunde Winery, Ru’s Farm, and the Barn at Harrow Cellars.

Some are polished and editorial. Some are wild and rustic. All of them have been the backdrop for a day we still think about.

Some of the best conversations at Sense of Place happened before the retreat even officially started.

Getting ready together, glam, headshots, and getting to know the faces around the room, turned into its own kind of icebreaker. Wedding planners, photographers, travel advisors, creative entrepreneurs, all in one space, swapping stories before we’d even made it to breakfast.

Sense of Place was our first retreat, hosted with Wild Sol Travel Co. at Viceroy Los Cabos, an intimate gathering of wedding planners, photographers, travel advisors, and creative entrepreneurs. Less conference, more like being the guest at an unforgettable event.

No rushed schedules. Just beautiful design, real conversation, and the kind of hospitality that reminds you why you fell in love with this work.

Floral design took shape as living arrangements nested within locally sourced driftwood, creating a raw yet refined expression of nature in motion. Sculptural details and organic elements layered throughout the design, bringing depth, softness, and intention to every moment.
