Hi everyone,
I wanted to share a quick update and say thank you to everyone who supported Uncle DT’s Smokehouse over the years.

Opening a restaurant just weeks before the pandemic shutdowns was definitely an adventure, and I’m incredibly grateful we were able to build something that earned a loyal following and a 4.8-star reputation along the way. It was a great chapter of life.

Over the past year, though, I made the decision to transition back into my longtime career in IT full-time.

Before the Smokehouse years, I ran an IT business in the San Francisco Bay Area for more than 25 years, helping homes and businesses with everything from security and troubleshooting to upgrades, networking, optimization, and long-term support.

After 6 incredible years, Uncle DT’s Smokehouse will be closing our doors for good.

From the first brisket off the smoker to the last plate out the kitchen, it has been an absolute honor to serve this community. You showed up for me — for the BBQ nights, the specials, the music, the laughs, and all the moments in between.

I’ve shared thousands of meals, countless conversations, and made memories I’ll carry for the rest of my life.

To every regular, every first-timer, every friend who spread the word, every musician who played a tune, every staff member who worked their heart out — thank you. You made this more than a restaurant. You made it a gathering place.

I am deeply grateful for your support over these 6 years.

This isn’t goodbye to the memories — just the end of this chapter.
