A look back at our last gathering at the ranch.

On September 26, we’re heading back — this time to celebrate harvest.

Fall Release b**rs brewed with estate-grown grains, Fess Parker Winery w**es, FP Ranch Beef Wagyu and food built around what’s coming out of the farm right now. Live music, an open fire and an evening together on the land that makes so much of what we do possible.

Join us September 26 as we celebrate harvest season on the land that fills our glasses and our table.

We’ll be pouring small-batch Fall Release b**rs brewed with estate-grown grains alongside Fess Parker Winery w**es made from estate-grown grapes. The kitchen will be cooking over fire with FP Ranch Beef Wagyu and ingredients harvested from the farm - all with live music, vineyard views and good company.

A chance to gather at the ranch and celebrate the people, lan and ingredients that make what we do here possible.

Thank you to everyone who nominated us Santa Barbara Independent for Best Santa Barbara County Brewery, Best Burger, and Best Chicken Wing.

The food side of Third Window started pretty simply. During the pandemic, out of necessity, we started making burgers with Wagyu from the ranch. We cooked a lot of them, learned through repetition, and for a long time only served food a couple days a week. What started there has slowly grown into the full kitchen operation we have today.

On the brewery side, we continue to believe the future is in specialization- focusing on the things we have access to, the things that make this place unique, and trying to do those things exceptionally well.

There’s still a lot we want to get better at, which makes recognition like this especially meaningful.

Tonight is the last chance to vote. If you’ve already taken the time to support us, thank you. We’re grateful to be considered alongside so many great people and businesses in Santa Barbara County.

This is our third year growing hops at the ranch. Each year the bines get bigger, the roots get deeper, and we learn a little more about what it takes to grow one of b**r’s most important ingredients ourselves.

The long-term goal is to create b**r that is of this place—our water, grain, hops, and whatever else the ranch can provide.

This year’s hops have grown bigger than ever. In a few places, bigger than the trellises holding them up. A couple collapsed last week and we’re still working to get them back up.

As we focus more on la**rs and saisons, we want to keep learning how to make better b**r with what we can grow and produce ourselves.

Still a lot to learn, but each year gets us a little closer.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at the ranch to celebrate ten years of Third Window.

It was an afternoon we’ll remember for a long time—from the b**r and food to the music, conversations, and the chance to gather with so many of you who have been part of our story. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who came out to celebrate with us.

And because we already can’t wait to gather again...save the date: September 26. We’ll be back at the ranch to welcome the harvest season. More details to come.

We’re honored to be collaborating with the Santa Barbara Historical Museum as it opens Finding Saint Barbara, a new exhibition dedicated to St. Barbara, the patron saint of our city, whose defining symbol—the third window—inspired the name of our brewery.

The exhibition features our collection of Abbey-style b**rs, whose labels tell the story of St. Barbara through imagery and words.

We’re also excited to be the b**r sponsor for the Fiesta History Celebration on Thursday, July 23rd—the exhibition’s opening party commemorating one hundred years of St. Barbara’s presence in Fiesta celebrations.

Third Window began with a simple belief:

B**r is an expression of place.

Long before brewing became industrialized, b**r was inherently local. It reflected the grain, water, agriculture, climate, and traditions of the communities that made it.

While w**e has retained a reverence for terroir, much of modern b**r has become disconnected from those roots.

Ten years ago, Third Window opened its doors with a vision to explore that connection again.

Ten years later, that original vision still guides us.

We remain committed to cultivating local ingredients and community.

Because every place has a story.

And we believe b**r is one way to tell it.
