There are so many reasons to join us at Brass Bear Uptown this fall — and here’s a few! Beat the heat wave with our indoor A/C, and enjoy cool fall nights on our patio with our fire pits and heaters.

Don’t forget to join us for happy hour 4-6 PM on Mondays/Tuesdays, and 2-6 PM Wednesdays-Fridays. Just in time for football season! 🏈 (P.S. be on the look out for fall drink specials coming soon.)

We can’t begin to tell you how special it is to be a part of so many couples’ love stories, and T&M’s wedding weekend is no exception! This vibrant wedding welcome party brought all the joy and fun, as guests gathered from around the country to celebrate the night before at Brass Bear Funk Zone.

Ever wondered how Brass Bear’s popular tri-tip, shrimp, and chicken skewers got on our menu?

When Lindsay and Seth opened Brass Bear 10 years ago in the Funk Zone, they originally planned to open a b**r tasting room featuring their homemade brews. There was just one problem: the building required them to have a kitchen and serve food, too.

When they couldn’t find a chef willing to take on such a small kitchen, Lindsay—8 months pregnant at the time—stepped up and started cooking. They’d seen even smaller kitchens in NYC, and believed it was possible!

Brass Bear was born out of Lindsay and Seth’s love of traveling and the adventures they had together, and those experiences made their way into the menu, too. Lindsay started cooking the way she did on their backpacking trips: skewering whatever meat and vegetables they had available and cooking them over a campfire.

Just swap the campfire for a commercial kitchen, and you’ve got the beginning of our famous skewers. 10 years later, they’re still one of the things you’ll find on the menu at Brass Bear—and a pretty delicious reminder of where we started. 🧡

If you’ve attended a private event at our Funk Zone location, there’s a good chance you’ve enjoyed one of Chef Juan’s creations.

Our Funk Zone head chef, Juan is the magic behind beautifully presented appetizers and carefully curated dessert boards. He’s the best team player—even lending his artistry and expertise to our Uptown location! His hard work creativity, and positive attitude show in every detail—and somehow makes it all happen in one of the coziest kitchens around.

We’re lucky to have him on our team, and even luckier to share his food with all of you. 💛

Some things at Brass Bear will never change: beautiful mountain views at Uptown, the coastal breeze in the Funk Zone, delicious craft cocktails and food made with love.

Over the years we’ve made upgrades to some of our spaces! Swipe for more. ➡️

New wall paper and upgraded chairs for Uptown’s small private dining room.

In 2024, we had movable carports for weather coverage on our Funk Zone patio.

In 2025, we upgraded to these beautiful pergolas!
