Dear Friends,
We have decided to close Venus and Furs and our last day of service will be Sunday, January 23rd. Please come support us throughout the week (Wednesday to Sunday), and we'll be offering specials as we move through our delicious inventory.
We'd like to extend a gigantic thank you to our staff, guests, press friends, and supporters of every kind. Even more gratitude goes out to our incredible team of women running this badass venue, and Their hard work, ingenuity, dedication, work ethic, palates, and passion drove this project into being something truly special.
Venus in Furs was born from a desire to pour natural wines made with maximum integrity in a setting that pushes the boundary on design, music, and art. We didn't want any bu****it in our wine. We wanted a wine bar, not a full service restaurant. We wanted service to be casual, but knowledgeable. We wanted the wine list to be dynamic and price friendly, not stuffy and expensive. We wanted to show that wine cocktails are dope, complex, multifaceted, nuanced, and delicious. We wanted to have fun with wine and design. With the help of our fantastic team, we realized these goals, and then some.
We believe in healthy grapes, healthy soil, and healthy ecosystems, and we are/were proud to do our part in supporting wineries that follow this ethos.
We wanted to send out a special shout out to the food operators we've shared the space with. (RIP) and we love and miss your damn sourdough pizzas and delicious dipping sauces. you've been more than great to work alongside, we will continue to stop in and enjoy your delicious food and best of luck in continuing your residency at 18 E Cota. People of Santa Barbara, please continue to support Dalan and his amazing team serving up delicious vegan Mexican food every week, as well as Sunday's Burger Town!
