Our Story

Hello, my name is Tom Cole and I am the owner/operator of the pub. The Copper Cricket Pub has been years in the making. When my wife, Andrea, and I moved to Anderson Creek from Upstate New York 10 years ago we immediately fell in love with the area and the people. The one thing we noticed was the lack of pub where you could feel at home and enjoy a fresh home cooked meal or light snack and enjoy a couple drinks while listening to great live acoustic music and still be able to carry on a conversation. That is what we have tried to create with the Copper Cricket Pub. Our goal was to create a family-friendly neighborhood pub where everyone is family and treated as such. Whether you are just stopping in after work for a quick cocktail or bringing the family out for the evening meal, we want everyone to feel comfortable, welcome, and satisfied. We love it when people will come in, order a drink, and sit down in our “Library” area and talk with neighbors or just watch some TV or listen to the music.

Having been a customer of Yesterday’s, I always felt the location would work well with what I envisioned. When the location came available, I was able to assume the lease, purchase the equipment, and begin demolition and then create our vision. None of this could have happened without my wife, Andrea, and my friend Lee Martinez, along with Lee’s father “Pops”, and our son Jon. We tore it basically down to the studs and started again. With Andrea’s creative vision for design and decorating and Lee & Pops talent in design and carpentry, the Copper Cricket Pub became a reality.

I am very proud of what we have created and the direction we are going. I believe we have assembled a fantastic staff of caring and dedicated individuals who more and more work together as a team and family.

We heartily thank our ever growing family of regulars and friends. If you haven’t visited us yet or if it’s been awhile, please stop in and check us out. I believe what you will find is the family-friendly neighborhood pub I have described. What you won’t find is pool tables and loud bands. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that, but it just didn’t fit with the atmosphere we were trying to create.
