This Friday, Dave and Christina from Utara Brewing will be trading the taproom for the 5th Annual Premier W**e Gala to help support Food for Our Children.

While the event celebrates outstanding w**es, we’ll be there pouring Utara craft b**r in support of an organization that works year-round to ensure local children have access to food when they need it most.

Have you ever wondered why some IPAs smell like fresh oranges, mangoes, pine forests, or tropical fruit?

The secret is often dry hopping.

Unlike hops added during the boil for bitterness, dry hops are added after fermentation to preserve the delicate oils responsible for incredible aroma and flavor. It’s one of the techniques that gives modern craft b**r its unmistakable hop character.

At Utara Brewing, we’ve spent countless hours experimenting with dry hop timing, temperature, contact time, and hop combinations to get the most out of every batch. It’s part science, part art, and one of our favorite parts of brewing.
