Even though the origin of its name still remains a mystery, The Hydra has made its mark in Sandpoint with its unique surroundings, complemented with art and beautiful cut glass works by local artists. Some customer favorites include our whiskey rock oysters, Litehouse cheese curds, and of course, our famous Royalty Prime Rib, carved fresh from the roast and called the “Best in the Northwest”. Meet the Staff Monday just clocked in—and this week, Joseph is our undeniable star of the shift! 🌟 If you haven’t had the pleasure of meeting him yet, you’re in for a treat every time he’s around.

Twelve-plus months on Team Hydra and still grinning through every single weekend mayhem. 😄 He’s become a true staple of our crew, handling packed dining rooms and busy shifts like a pro, spreading good vibes all the way. ✨

Joe’s favorite part about work? Without a doubt, it’s being part of the Hydra Steakhouse crew—a truly amazing bunch always ready with a grin 😁 and a helping hand ✋. Joe swears it’s the camaraderie that makes every day shine just a little brighter. ✨A friendly fist bump 👊 or a gentle nudge at the grill 🔥 can make all the difference around here—especially during those non-stop dinner rushes! Joe always says the team’s quick wit and endless encouragement keep spirits soaring 🚀, even when steak orders start rolling in like a never-ending game of culinary Jenga. Every meal prepped, every plate served, is made easier—and a lot more fun—because of the support they share with one another. 🍽️🤝

His passion for the outdoors truly shapes how he spends his spare time and recharges after a long week 🌲. Whether he’s hiking along winding, wooded trails 🚶‍♂️, unwinding on the peaceful bank of a sunlit lake 🌅, or casting a line to see what bites 🎣, these are just a few of the activities that fill up his well-earned free time. Nature’s the perfect way for him to hit the reset button and soak up those well-deserved moments of calm.
