As our 25th birthday approaches, we have been reflecting on the core values that have made us who we are since 1996. Our deep love and care for the environment and the health of our Earth and our community is what drove us to become San Francisco's first and only certified organic brewery, and is what continues to drive us today.
Over our 25 years of life, the effects of climate change have gotten noticeably greater and greater. Our hearts go out to our neighbors in California who have been enduring one of our worst fire seasons yet, as well as all those affected by the hurricanes and flooding in the South and the East Coast. We are trying our best to do our part, but we believe healing is an effort that every individual, business, state, and country needs to get behind!
We deeply admire and the movie for bringing awareness to a way we can start to heal our planet and help reverse these disastrous effects of climate change: regenerative agriculture, a holistic land management practice that builds soil health to improve the water cycle and carbon drawdown. We are proud to be supporting farms that utilize these practices in both our brewery and kitchen organic grain programs, and it's our hope that more and more farms will do the same before it's too late.
