Meet Jiayue Li (Jiayue Li), one of three artists featured in “The Illusion of Stillness” at Hotel Emblem.

Jiayue Li is a graphic designer and illustrator based in New York and San Francisco. Her passions lie in creating narratives and solutions using graphic design, illustration, and art direction with a great variety of style. She has a knack of transforming complex information into effective and impactful visual communication.

Experience her work up close on October 1st, when Hotel Emblem partners with 2rt and SEGD San Francisco Chapter for a special edition of SF First Thursdays Art Walk. Curated by Melis Gullu. Catch the docent-led walk at 5:30pm, stay for the artist talk at 6:30pm, and DJ Zephyr’s got the sounds.

Meet Murat Palta (Murat Palta), one of three artists featured in “The Illusion of Stillness” at Hotel Emblem.

Murat Palta reinterprets Ottoman miniature art through a contemporary lens, blending traditional techniques with modern and pop-cultural references. He introduces intentional anachronisms that reveal cultural overlaps, tensions, and shared narratives between Eastern and Western worlds. His compositions layer illustration, text, and collage, echoing the narrative complexity of historical manuscripts. For this exhibition, the artist also created animations for these works, which can be experienced through AR, adding an interactive dimension to the pieces.

Meet Ruoyun Dai (Ruoyun Dai), one of three artists featured in “The Illusion of Stillness” at Hotel Emblem.

Ruoyun Dai is a multidisciplinary artist and designer based in New York and San Francisco who blends traditional sketches with augmented reality, artificial intelligence, and spatial technology. Through both her independent practice and projects developed with 2rt, Dai continues to build a distinctive visual language that bridges digital and physical realms, inviting viewers into spaces where memory, illusion, and identity converge.
