As some of you have heard, we lost our dear teammate/mentor/friend Darrel Haslip… There will be a memorial on Thursday, 4/25….

Memorial details have been confirmed for Fizzees, in the side room off to the right from the Geary entrance. Next Thursday, April 25. We will officially will be there 4-8pm, with Darrel's family, and then who knows where the night goes from there.

Hi all. Last night at the Hole in the Wall Anniversary I was informed of the passing of Darrell Haslip. I had just seen him last week. We met when he first moved here to San Francisco. We hung out regularly playing pool and he would come to my work frequently to say hi. He had just bought a nice pool cue he had been saving up for and was so happy to have it. As a former Hole in the Wall Howler I honor his memory. I am going to miss my friend dearly. ❤️❤️❤️😢

There are times to stand on principle. There are times to sacrifice and give of oneself. There are times to say yes, and there are times to say no.

There is always time to be a friend, and sometimes the best thing a friend can do is walk away, or come around, or give a shoulder to lean on. Recognizing one's own limitations is a necessary life skill.

Howlers, please stop and take this moment to think about what you're doing and why you're doing it. Take just a moment to consider your teammates, and ask how you can be a friend.

Then, act on it.
