Look in your dressers. Maybe in your night stands. Under the seat of your car. Random drink tickets. Paraphernalia from nights out. YOUR random selection of cheap gas station sunglasses. Bring those to Mars Bar San Francisco next Sunday. Toss them in the box at the front door. You need cheap sunglasses for entry and you absolutely must be stylish. Best photo op ever.

Good morning. Sadly,but also very honorably, will be the memorial and celebration of life for our very dear friend Steven Jeffe at Mars Bar San Francisco.

The family will join us after the cemetery in Oakland. We will open at 12 for immediate family and close friends. There will be a video montage and opportunity to share memories under the outside tent starting at 12:30. Please, in respect to Steve’s Jewish faith, his family has gently reminded us not to bring flowers. Let us honor that.

Ryan Stubbs will curate some music. He told me the four DJ’s yesterday but I only remember him and Helen Yamyams. Sorry. We will have a celebration in his honor at 12:30. DJ’s will start a few hours later around 2 thereabouts. I’m sure I’m missing some things here. Keyatta Shade and Kayla Blakely have worked tirelessly this week coordinating so many little important details while I’ve had to be out of town.

Please let us remember our very good friend who graciously touched so many of our lives with that very warm hearted smile, always a twinkle in is eye, and a kind word for everyone. We will see you all in a few hours.
