Way to go Mya Byrne!

Mya Byrne loved country music since her childhood in New Jersey. But it took years of searching and traveling to lead to the place where she could make her new album, Rhinestone Tomboy.

I booked 586 live music events in 2021!

And what a roller coaster it has been. As I look back on 2021, I feel grateful for such a dedicated live music fan base that supports the concerts I bring to the San Francisco Bay Area.

In 2021, I presented:
- 128 In YOUR Driveway or Backyard Concerts
- 8 House Concerts
- 11 Cookout Concerts at HopMonk Novato
- 5 Sundown Concerts at Twin Oaks Roadhouse
- 11 Session Room concerts at HopMonk Novato
- 1 Listening Room concert at HopMonk Sonoma
- 3 concerts at Amado's

That's a total of 167 KC Turner Presents events for 2021!

PLUS non-KC Turner Presents shows I booked*:
- 18 Session Room concerts at HopMonk Novato
- 227 Beer Garden/Tavern Stage performances at HopMonk Sonoma
- 174 Beer Garden performances at HopMonk Novato!
*These are all performances that actually happened (I didn't count cancellations or rainouts.)

IN TOTAL 586 live music events in 2021!

I stand by this statement: "If you work in the music industry and you’re not putting the artist first then you’re doing it wrong." None of this is possible without YOU (the good-looking fans), and the artists! There are so many people to thank for this crazy year of live music (that we needed so desperately).

THANK YOU: Brianne Lucke (my amazing partner in life), Merry and Greg Turner (my parents) for always having by back, Dean Biersch, Bill DeCarli, Javier, AJ, Keith, Andy, and the entire HopMonk Tavern Novato team, Chris at Twin Oaks Roadhouse, Matt and Manny at HopMonk Sonoma, my Cookout Concert production A-team Ken and Dave, my assistant rockstar Jasmine Pritchard, Jen McGaffey for her box office and fan relation skills, Dana and Daniel at Amado's, Dave and Marian at Bread & Roses, all the amazing house concert hosts: Steve Mongan, Dana & Paul, Kevin & Laura, Dave & Jane, Janelle & Kendall at Bridgehouse, Lance & David, plus all the amazing fans who held a private in YOUR Driveway or Backyard concert. Megan Slankard for feeding me the idea to bring private concerts to homes during the lockdown and for being a great friend, my support from BOSE Professional, the incredible booking agents and artist managers I get to work with (special shout out to Phil Einsohn), Vica Lew for her poster art, the team at The KRUSH Radio: Joe, David, and Bill Bowker (happy retirement), Ben Kaiser from CNN for running the story on the backyard series, Paul Liberatore from Marin Independent Journal, the Nob Hill Gazette, Jim Harrington from Mercury News/East Bay Times, Peter Finch at KGO Radio, Nate from Reuters, the folks at the San Francisco Chronicle, Press Democrat, and SF Examiner, and the many podcast hosts that found interest in my story.

I love the Bay Area deeply, and I'm excited to continue to bring great live music to you for years to come!

Thank you all for supporting live music!

i like you.

Our beloved Alan Monasch left us on October 20th. I've never met anyone like Alan. Seeing him at a local music event was usually expected as he dedicated his life to cultivating community – often sacrificing many nights of sleep to attend/perform shows and open mic nights around the San Francisco Bay Area. His heart was always open to everyone around him. Alan was always lifting people up in our music scene, reminding each of us of our best qualities. I'm going to miss Alan everyday as I loved him so very much.

We're inviting you all to gather in his honor to share his memory.
Please join us along with Alan's family this Monday, December 6 at HopMonk Novato. Those who would like to share a song or their favorite Alan story will have the opportunity.

Date: Monday, Dec. 6, 2021
Where: HopMonk Novato - 224 Vintage Way, Novato, CA
Time: 6pm-10pm

Thank you to Megan Slankard for this drawing of Alan and thank you to Brianne Lucke for the poster design.

KC Turner made the Nob Hill Gazette's A-List!

Thank you to the Nob Hill Gazette for including me on their "A-List". I'm truly honored to be grouped with these inspiring humans!

"KC Turner sounds excited. It’s an almost extinct quality in anyone’s voice these days. Turner is hopeful. Live music in the Bay Area isn’t dead yet. And it won’t be, if he can help it."
