We will open for one last night on Wednesday, August 30th. The new owners will be remodeling so feel free to come by and get a piece of memorabilia; we will be giving away artwork, equipment (get an authentic set of Grant & Green shakers) and drinks. Anything goes except the ice machine.

Grant & Green has been sold to the investor group that owns Tipsy Pig and several other bars in SF. We would like to thank our customers & staff who have kept us running for over 50 years. Continued extortion from Ascap, failed city policies on tourism & city’s refusal to give us parklet or legacy have made it impossible to continue.

Due to lack of business we are switching to events only model until June. The city continues to deny us a parklet unlike all our neighbors. Sales after midnight have fallen off a cliff. We hope that politicians will do what it takes to bring tourism back to precovid levels.
