From 1947 to 1971, California prohibited women from bartending. On May 27, 1971, the California Supreme Court struck down the ban – and the rest is history! Join the Horseshoe Tavern as we partner with bars across San Francisco to celebrate this historic anniversary, and highlight many of the incredible women who make our city’s bar industry what it is today. We'll be hosting an all day event on May 27 and there will be more information soon; in the meantime, if you're a bar in SF and want to join in, send us a message!
