My good friend Sam came to the âIslandâ last week and met me at my office-Bali Hai.
I met him when he was 19 and I was 21. He was playing drums in a band called the Outriders! They would play at Kellyâs pub by SDSU and he would have to stand outside when they took breaks.
He, many years later, played drums for my band.
Heâs been in the food/drink biz his whole life, because his father was.
Sam is easily one of my favorite and most respected people I know.
We had a drink & talk.
He had nice things to say about his visit to Fathom.
For me, itâs like having Anthony Bourdain saying, I dig what youâre doing.
We work hard at keeping Fathom what it is. A comfortable place for locals and a surprising spot for people visiting. It is not easy in this day and age to run a restaurant even if it is just a glorified hotdog stand on a Fishing Pier. I would like to thank you all, for understanding what it is we do , getting it. Fathom may not be for everyone, but if you are one of the people that it is for, and you continue to come, thank you so much. It means the world to me and our team ďżźďżź
