With heavy hearts, we say goodbye to Ron.

From behind the bar at The Local to the countless lives he touched beyond it, Ron embodied community and what it meant to be a local. He was the kind of person who remembered your story, your drink, your dog’s name — and made you feel like family. He was a soul who made every room feel warmer just by being in it.

A devoted father, a loyal friend, and the steady presence so many of us leaned on. We’ll miss the raspy encouragement, the quick wit, bear hugs and the huge heart that defined him.

Rest easy, Ron. You made this city better, and all of us better for knowing you. ❤️
