It is with a heavy heart that we share tha lead guitarist of Kalapana David John “DJ” Pratt, has passed.

We are so honored to have worked with Kalapana over the last few years and truly appreciate their friendship and support of our events and fundraisers.

DJ, you were extremely talented and you will be missed. We know that you have been reunited with your band mate, Malani, and you both are making beautiful music in Heaven. 🙏🏽✨

We are sad to say goodbye to one of our wonderful friends, Rey Monzon. Rey sang and played for one of San Diego's island bands, Akua Pono. Coconuts and Cocktails will always remember Rey's humbleness and enthusiasm every time he played at our concerts. We are wishing his family peace and comfort during this hard time. 🙏❤️

These are truly uncharted times and we’re learning right along side you as we navigate COVID-19 together. We are all grappling with this issue of enormous scale and human impact, and our hearts go out to all who have been affected by the outbreak of COVID-19.

We are inspired to see people and communities rising to the challenge to support and help one another during these uncertain times.

Because of the mandated CA State orders and the unsurety of when this will lift, we have had to cancel the upcoming events including the June 6th Shaka Aloha Comedy Show and the September Island & Beer Fest in Lemoore, CA. 🌴🏄‍♂️

Mahalo and biggest salamat to all our vendors, breweries and past and future attendees who have reached out to us. We wish everyone to be safe and during these times of uncertainty. Most of all, keep your Aloha Spirit! 🍍🤙

We've always been a fan of Dave Chapelle regardless of his short-lived "controversial" comedy show. His wife, Elaine Erfe, a Filipina from Brooklyn NY, is so decent and stays low key. So awesome that he is contributing to this catastrophic event in the Philippines. Mahalo and maraming Salamat po to you, Dave Chappelle!

It will help provide aid to those affected.
