We had our humble beginnings in the form of ideas written on the wall in our own cave 2 years ago. We experienced the taste of Tej (the ethiopian form of mead) and were shocked by the taste. Also, a little disclaimer, my husband who really brought this entire idea to light, is a real sweet tooth. One night he brought home a bunch of equipment and started brewing in the kitchen. We did not know wha
t we were getting ourselves into...but what the heck, right? So, after eons of research into the process of making it, research on where we would be able to produce and sell it, research on the market itself, and long nights of making messes, we are finally here and proud to be able to offer this prehistoric beverage to the good people of San Diego. When San Diego comes through our doors, we want them to experience a space where good people (seeing a pattern here?) can come together and share this prehistoric beverage with the thunder lizard community. We look forward to this new age of creating memories that last for a lifetime (or even a few hundred thousand years). So, what can you expect to find when you come through our doors? Pet friendly environment, good people, good mead, board games, video games, monthly events, and just a nice place to chill out and get your inner nerd on while the rest of San Diego tries to get home in rush hour traffic.
