Trinitea Tea Lounge Open Mic

Trinitea Tea Company was founded in China in 1998 and has grown to become China's largest tea company. Trinitea Tea Lounge opened Halloween 2013

Open Mic is every Monday night at Trinitea Tea Lounge. Hosted by Johnny Love and Michael Staples. Participants can play a short set... Music, Spoken Word, or other various entertainments. The show starts at 7pm; you may sign up to do a set as early as 6:30pm.

It is a bittersweet farewell. After 3 years and six months, Trinitea Tea has decided to discontinue open mic until further notice. Johnny has been hosting this show since it started. "I enjoyed sharing Monday nights with you all for the last 3 and a half years. I am looking forward to whatever is next, and I'm sure I'll see a lot of you around the scene. I am especially privileged to have met and listened to so many talented people, many of whom have become friends of mine. Best wishes to everyone."

There will be no open mic at Trinitea this week, and from now on, until further notice.

Hi y'all. Johnny here. Just wanted to let you all know my show tomorrow night is canceled this week and will be back on the following Saturday. This Saturday June 24th at Bugsy's, Johnny's special guest is the gifted singer songwriter Vinny Dee. He will perform a set that will include some of his originals along with some of his favorite cover versions. He was first spotted at the Trinitea Tea Lounge open mic and Johnny liked Vinny's performance a lot and wanted to hear a longer set. Vinny will start his set at 745pm Saturday night. Bob Warren is one of San Diego's best songwriters. He is also a great singer, recording artist, guitarist, and multi-instrumentalist. His live performance is not to be missed. Hope ya can join us!

Tomorrow night, Saturday June 10th, Johnny is pleased to welcome Laurence Sinclair as his special guest at Bugsy's BREW Coffee. Mr Sinclair is a gifted singer guitarist and songwriter. His singing reminds Johnny of Ray Charles Otis Redding and Sam Cooke put together into one voice. Laurence will present a selection of covers and originals at 745pm. Johnny will open the show at 7pm and will do an encore set with Uncle Bri after Laurence Sinclair's set. It will be a night to remember. Bugsy's @8759 La Mesa Blvd in La Mesa!

Hey everybody... Johnny has something a little different up his sleeve for this Saturday May 27th at Bugsy's. Johnny will play the 1st half of the show alone and after a brief intermission, Johnny will play the rest of the night joined by his longtime lead guitarist Brian. Brian is camera shy so there are no available photos of Brian. The fun starts at about 7pm and Brian will be joining Johnny at around half past 8. Hope y'all can be there! This Saturday at Bugsy's, Edward Alvarez will again be Johnny's special guest. Edward will sing some great songs in his distinctive style and will blow your mind with his psychedelic guitar loops. Meanwhile, Johnny is mining top forty gold and featuring his renditions of new favorites from the likes of Halsey, Drake, Chainsmokers, Alessia Cara, and Bruno... Along with other favorite hits from the last couple of years. Johnny will kick off the show around 7pm. Edward will do his set at 8pm, and Johnny will play another set after Edward.
