This week, we quietly packed up and moved out of our home at 1203 Camden St. - a full year and a half before our lease was up.

It's sad, of course, but it's not the final chapter in the Bexar Stage story. We'll be back to make San Antonio smile again, when this virus' threat is behind us. This is just a long, sh*tty intermission.

In the meantime, we want to thank our talented students, our incredible staff, our selfless volunteers, and our joyful audiences for their support throughout the last 3 years.

A place like Bexar doesn't exist without a supportive community behind it and we won't ever forget how wonderful the last 3 years have been.

6 months ago today, we had our last show at 1203 Camden. It was a great night, with a full house of laughs. And we all thought we'd have plenty more like it. 💕

Thanks to everyone who has reached out to us about the story that Spectrum News San Antonio ran on us this week.

Losing our theatre is very obviously upsetting. There's a lot of unknown surrounding when we might be "back".

But don't give up on us, yet!

Once we're done with this move out, we'll be able to focus more energy on shows/classes made available online.

Arts venues are in dire need of assistance:

- Live events employ over 12 million people.
- Live events contributes over $1 trillion annually to the US economy.
- 95% of live events have been cancelled due to COVID-19.
- 96% of companies have cut staff and/or wages.
- 77% of people in the live events industry have lost 100% of their income, including 97% of 1099 workers.

On September 1st, 2020, , a coalition of trade bodies, businesses, unions, and live events workers, will light up their venues, homes, and cities red in over 1,500 locations across North America to raise public and media awareness in support of the live events sector.
