JUST 10 MINUTES AGO: Spurs legend David Robinson broke his silence with a powerful statement, stepping up to defend Victor Wembanyama after the Game 4 loss to the New York Knicks: “What is happening to him is an injustice to basketball — a blatant betrayal of everything this sport stands for. How can anyone be so cruel? Criticizing a young leader who carries the team on his shoulders, shows up every night, gives everything he has, never seeks attention, never blames anyone — just trying to win. To me, Victor Wembanyama is one of the most exceptional players this league has ever seen. Instead of tearing him down every time the team struggles, people should stand behind him and support him.”
