It’s time for San Angelo Gives and we’re rallying behind something incredibly close to our hearts 💙
The First Responder Scholarship Fund exists to give back to the families who give so much to our community every single day. This scholarship is awarded to dependents of first responders, the sons and daughters of those who serve, protect, and show up when we need them most.
👮‍♂️🚑🚒 Whether it’s law enforcement, firefighters, EMS, or other first responders, this fund helps their kids pursue higher education and brighter futures.
Because of your support over the years, we’ve been able to

Over the years, so many of you have shared pieces of your history with us—photos, memorabilia, and special items that helped make the Firehouse what it is today. ❤️

As we prepare for this next chapter, we would love to try and reunite a few of those items with their original owners.

If you’ve ever donated anything to the Firehouse, please reach out to us privately this week. We’ll do our best to match items back to you.

Many of the photos and memorabilia will remain in the building on display, continuing to tell the story of this special place. Anything not claimed by the end of the week will stay with the new owners.

Thank you for being such an important part of our story—we’re so grateful for every memory shared within these walls. ❤️🚒

Tonight we served our last pizza at the Firehouse. To everyone who support us this week and for the past 6 years, we appreciate you. The Ramos family came in to see us off and enjoy one last dinner with us 🍕 we also got to see friends like Judge Carter and Mayor Thompson. Again, thank you to our customers and our community. We will always remember this building, our downtown friends and all of the wonderful memories we made here. It’s been an emotional day but we made it through!

Six years ago, our family opened the doors of Old Central Firehouse Pizzeria & Taproom with a dream and a lot of heart. What we didn’t fully realize then was just how many memories this building would come to hold — not just for us, but for our entire community.

This historic firehouse has been more than a restaurant to our family. It has been part of our lives. Within these walls we’ve celebrated birthdays, engagements, weddings, and so many milestones. We’ve welcomed grandbabies home, gathered around tables with friends and family, and watched countless moments unfold that we will carry with us forever.

For six years, you all made this place special. Your support, your laughter, your traditions, and your loyalty turned the Firehouse into something far greater than a pizzeria. It became a place where memories were made.

Because of that, this moment is incredibly bittersweet for our family as we announce that we will be closing the restaurant and selling the building.

While the pizzeria chapter is coming to a close, we are proud to introduce the new owners who share a deep appreciation for this historic building. Their vision is to preserve the firehouse and its integrity by creating a much-needed venue space downstairs while continuing the bed-and-breakfast upstairs.

Knowing the building will continue to serve our community and be filled with life and celebration means a great deal to us.

And while the Firehouse Pizzeria will be closing, your favorite pizzas aren’t going anywhere. We are excited to continue serving you out at Lakehouse Pizzeria & Taproom.

As we close this chapter, we simply want to say thank you.

Thank you to our community, our friends, and our family who supported us every step of the way and loved the Firehouse as much as we have.

This place — and all the memories within it — will always hold a very special place in our hearts.

Heads up, Firehouse family 🔥

Due to the expected bad weather moving into San Angelo this afternoon, Old Central Firehouse Pizzeria & Taproom will be closing early at 3 PM today to make sure our staff and guests can get home safely.

We appreciate your understanding and hope everyone stays safe. We’ll be back to regular hours tomorrow.
