'As the pubs closed, we opened. And as they begin to reopen again, we've decided to shut our 'doors', and let our punters loose on the world once more. 🍻
A massive thank you to everyone who's joined us in entertaining the nation along the way, OMB in particular. To everyone who's taken part in our 3 months' of Humpday Hoohah quizzes from across the country and beyond. We hope these handy tips come in useful as you go back out there, and checkout our hospitality hombres at , for a cracking podcast on all things drinks/service in the UK. 🍹

That’s right folks, for the last time ever you’ll hear the sweet sweet sounds of kahoots reggae bop, accompanied by your resident landladies screaming with excitement over the ever-changing leaderboard, clicking through the rounds far too quickly, and questioning “wait, is that actually right?” 🤷🏻♀️
We hope to see our regulars return with mayyyybe a few new faces to celebrate the fact that us closing down, means some pubs, somewhere... are opening up!! (Finally, praise the heavens!)

Today we’re joining the world in a time of reflection and educating ourselves about the injustice in this world.
The only quizzing we should be doing is on ourselves, our attitudes, and how we can support those in need. As most of our regulars benefit from white privilege we urge you to please use this time to learn and understand what you can with your privilege to be the change we all need to see in this world.

The Staying Inn Opens its Doors - well, you know what we mean.
It’s not everyday you find out you’ve got to stay inside for the foreseeable future.
Especially in the UK. Pubs and bars make up our culture. They’re not just a place we go to get smashed, eat crisps and accidentally call our exes. They’re the place we go to express ourselves. To have parties, christenings, wakes. Now, we’re not saying they’re gone forever, but knowing that, in the current time, you won’t be able to go out to whet your whistle with your mates for is pretty depressing. Seeing the hospitality industry break is pretty depressing. There’s a lot of news, scaremongering and panic-buying Andrex that’s making this whole thing pretty fu***ng depressing.
Hopefully, The Staying Inn is a bit of light within that.
The beauty of this age is that technology has allowed us to break borders. So whether you’re self-isolating, in another country, working from home whatever, you technically have the opportunity to have a drink online with more friends than ever before, no matter their situation. Now, we know people are already doing this, but what we REALLY wanted to do was show it, and share it with other people, in other countries on as big a scale as we could. If there’s one thing our world needs right now, it’s a little levity. It’s the moments of humour in the hysteria that ironically, help keep us human.
So wherever you are, whatever your circumstance, we really hope you get involved! Post screenshots of you and your friends checking in to The Staying Inn. Let us know how we can help your business if you are a struggling pub. The government has spoken a lot about our joint effort in protecting each other, but we believe it’s just as important to try and make each other laugh. Hopefully, this cuddly virtual pub can help a bit with us.
