Wow. We are still processing everything that happened last night. For those who may not know, there was a fire on Main Street that impacted two of our restaurants. From what we’ve seen, Whiskey Street sustained substantial damage, and White Horse Spirits & Kitchen was also affected, though not as severely. We are incredibly thankful that no employees or patrons were injured.
Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude for the firemen (Salt Lake City Fire Department) and emergency crews who worked through the night, and for the incredible outpouring of love we have received from our community. The messages, calls, and offers to help have reminded us how truly fortunate we are to be surrounded by such a caring and supportive community. We’ve loved hearing and reading about all of the memorable experiences you’ve shared with us. ❤️
While the full extent of the damage is still being assessed, we are committed to reopening in the future, even though we do not yet know exactly what that path will look like. Until then, we would love to welcome you to our other location, Franklin Ave Cocktails and Kitchen, whether you are coming to show support or simply to share a great meal and a drink with friends.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you, SLC! Huge shoutout to the city, , and Downtown SLC for starting the Employee Assistance Fund: https://www.downtownslc.org/main-street-fire-assistance-fund
