Originally from Venezuela and now proudly calling Salt Lake City home, Luna is a burlesque performer, producer, community advocate, and founder of — Utah’s first and only sapphic burlesque collective.

Through her work, Luna creates opportunities for emerging performers, uplifts q***r voices, and helps people feel seen, celebrated, and connected. Her answers reminded us exactly why we started this series in the first place.

When asked what community means to her, Luna shared:

“Community means sticking together through the thick and thin. It also means celebrating ourselves when nobody else does.”

We’re honored to spotlight the makers, shakers, storytellers, and community builders who help make this place feel like home. ❤️

One more week until returns for the third year in “The Lot” at HK Brewing Co. on the last Saturday of May!

And guess what? The first 50 people in line get an artist-made GIFT.

So come spend the afternoon shopping some amazing handmade goods, sipping on your favorite or HK beverages (both alcoholic and N/A options!), grabbing a bite, and celebrating the people who make Salt Lake feel like home.
