The end of an era — the funk era.
Brew N Krew Ale House and Karnaval Café are shutting down.
The brewery effective immediately.
The cafe will run until supplies lasts.
Trust us when we say: we gave it everything. Our money, heart, soul, tears, blood, and sweat went into both of these spaces. And for those of you who visited and supported us, you know how true that is.
We’ve witnessed so many beautiful things happen within these walls—
so many memories, so much laughter, growth, and yes, even tears—
from both adults and children.
These space became more than a business. It became a heartbeat for our community. We transformed them into something beautiful because that’s what we wanted to bring to Salinas.
There’s so much we could say, but we’ll keep it short and sweet:
Thank you for believing in our vision, our crazy concepts, our drinks, food, and in us — two East Salinas kids with a dream

Stay weird. Stay true to who you are. Be funky. And don’t let anyone tell you it’s not possible—because it is.
Like the black elephant painting in our café by David Shrigley says:
“I no longer wish to be part of the circus.”
