Small mountain town. Big World Cup energy. 🇺🇸⚽

The USA vs Australia match had High Side loud from start to finish. Two goals, one called back, then VAR stepped in and gave everyone a reason to lose their minds all over again. The whole place erupted twice, and by the end the restaurant was chanting!

Salida may be a small mountain town, but this community showed up in a big way and made some serious noise.

And to everyone who spent part of FIBArk weekend with us, thank you. This year’s crowd was incredibly friendly, happy, and just plain fun to have in the house. We loved being part of such a great weekend and we’re grateful to everyone who came through.

Now we do it one more time. Join us this Thursday for the final USA match of the group phase as Team USA takes on Türkiye at 8:00 PM at High Side! Bar & Grill.

The whitewater festival takes over Salida June 18–21, and we’re keeping the energy rolling all weekend long with live music, World Cup action, cold drinks, good food, and plenty of reasons to stay awhile.

The World Cup always starts long before the first whistle.

It starts in dusty streets, backyard goals, school fields, city parks, empty lots, and anywhere someone can find enough space to kick a ball.

For the soccer community, this tournament is more than matches on a screen. It is the game that raised people, connected neighborhoods, built rivalries, started friendships, and somehow made the whole world feel like it was watching the same thing at the same time.

And now it’s here. ⚽

World Cup 2026 starts today, and the first match is already underway with Mexico vs South Africa kicking off Group A. Later tonight, South Korea takes on Czechia at 8:00 PM.
