I wanted to take a moment to thank the owners of the Olde Main Street Pub for their kindness and generosity. They have cleaned out my wish list twice, including purchasing a full door pet gate which has completely improved my foster setup.

This has largely been in memory of their cat Morris, who passed away earlier this month. I'd like to share what they wrote about him.

"Morris O’Neill - Peabody, MA

After a brief illness, Morris O’Neill crossed the rainbow bridge peacefully at home. Morris was 17 years old. 🌈❤️

A dear friend’s grandmother was unable to take care of Morris so he joined the retirement community in 2021.

Morris was an equal opportunity lover. There wasn’t a lap he didn’t sit on.. He loved to eat and would sit on the table then silently meow to be fed. If you had something he wanted, he would politely pat your arm to make you aware he wanted your attention.

Morris was the “old man”, happy to sleep in the sun and cuddle on the couch.

Morris is survived by humans Christine and Kieran. Dog siblings, Fredo & Key Largo. Cat siblings, Lily & Gus. He was preceded in death by Brutus, Rossi & Koko. All of whom greeted him as he crossed the rainbow bridge.❤️🌈"

Bring them on.. all serious craic and love their country. We also have beer reinforcements coming in tomorrow morning. Two big games.. US at 3, Scotland at 5. We open at noon. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇺🇸

Tues & Wed we open at 3. Thursday to Monday we now open for Lunch 12-3 & Dinner 5 to 10pm.

It’s that time of year when we open the patio to enjoy outdoor dining until November. We will have a soft opening this weekend, starting today, and will be decorating it over the coming weeks. ☘️

A hearty sandwich on the menu tonight, and all weekend. This one is a little different than what we usually have but just as juicy and delicious. It’s a Fried chicken sandwich consisting of Chicken thigh, shredded lettuce, red onion, pickles, bacon and remoulade. Comes with our, not pictured, “world famous” fries.. Their words, not ours.. and all for the low price of $20. But wait.. there is no more.. enjoy your weekend. ☘️

A wonderful and delicious mothers day special for dinner tomorrow night. Fresh off the boat scallops by in Salem. We are offering a risotto with
Brown butter poached scallops, snap peas, charred summer squash and walnut pan grattato all evening Sunday from 5pm.. while they last. A fab dish for a special evening. We are also open for lunch from noon featuring our special Pizza so hope you can join us. All of us staff at the pub would like to wish every human mum, animal mum and any other mum who make this world a better place a Happy Mothers day. ❤️ ☘️

Chefs tried something different tonight for the first time at the pub and this right up there with any gourmet pizza shop. We will be offering this as an appetizer this weekend along with another Mothers Day special for Sunday. This is Pizza ala funghi which is House made pizza dough, confit garlic base, mushroom medley, stracciatella, and pesto. Light, crispy, and perfect for one or two as a snack. $13.
