Happy 29th Birthday to The 75th Street Inn! 🎉
Today marks 29 years since The 75th Street Inn opened its doors in 1997.
While we've been The 75th Street Inn for nearly three decades, the history of this building goes back even further. Built in 1941, many longtime locals may remember it as Joe & Jean's and Stardust, later to Dynie’s then sold to Joe and Jean’s before becoming The 75th Street Inn. For over 80 years, this building has been a place where friends, families, neighbors, and visitors have gathered to share meals and make memories.
Since 1997, The 75th Street Inn has had only two ownerships, and we're proud to continue the tradition of being a local gathering place for our community.
As we celebrate our 29th birthday, we have one special birthday wish:
We're asking for your help collecting photos, videos, newspaper clippings, menus, stories, and memorabilia from throughout the years. Whether it's from The 75th Street Inn, Joe & Jean's, or Dini's, we'd love to see it.
Our goal is to create a special display for our 30th anniversary celebration next year and share the history of this building with everyone who walks through our doors.
If you have anything you'd like to share, please send it our way. And if you know someone who might have old photos tucked away in an album, shoebox, or hard drive, please tag them or share this post.
Thank you for being part of our story. Here's to 29 years of memories and an even bigger celebration for our 30th anniversary next year! ❤️
