FUN FACT #1: Cinco De Mayo is the celebration of a historical event that took place in the town of Puebla located in Mexico. There was a battle between Mexico and France that occurred on May 5, 1862, which resulted in Mexico’s victory over the large & powerful French army.

In Mexico, the day is mainly observed by political speeches, most of which take place in Puebla, where the victory occurred.
